Senior Training in Amstelveen

Stay fit, strong, mobile and independent, at your own level. No membership and no sign-up: you come whenever you like.

A class lasts 60 minutes. The exercises are similar to CrossFit: functional movements you use every day, such as getting up from a chair, lifting, climbing stairs and bending down. We adapt every exercise to your level, so you don’t need to be fit to start.

What do you train?

Strength

Stronger muscles and bones, so lifting and climbing stairs stay easy. From your 30s you slowly lose muscle mass. Strength training slows this down, even if you start later in life.

Balance and mobility

Stand more steadily and move more freely. The Dutch Health Council advises older adults to do strength and balance exercises twice a week. This lowers your risk of falling.

Together, with coffee

You train with people your own age, and there is always coffee afterwards. Luca teaches on Monday, Lieuwe on Wednesday and Friday. We know everyone by name.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I need to be fit to start?

No. Every exercise can be scaled to your level.

Do I need to sign up?

No. You come whenever it suits you and pay €7 per class or use a class card (10 classes, €70). Your first class is free.

Can I join if I have health issues or a condition?

Usually, yes. We also train with people who have, for example, Parkinson’s. Talk to us beforehand, and if in doubt, check with your GP or physiotherapist.

Why is balance so important?

Falling is a major risk later in life. In 2025, around 124,000 people aged 65+ in the Netherlands went to the emergency department after a fall (VeiligheidNL). Strength and balance training lowers that risk.

I’m younger than 55. Can I join?

Yes, exceptions are always possible. Just ask us.

What should I bring?

Clothes you can move comfortably in, and a bottle of water if you like.

What language is the class in?

Dutch. If you prefer English, that’s fine too.
